Aperto nel lontano 1910 da Andrea Franzi, il grotto è situato in zona Bassa nel comune di Lumino. Nel corso degli anni è stato tramandato da padre in figlio. Attualmente è gestito da Carlo Franzi (pro nipote del fondatore). All’ombra d’alberi secolari garantisce all’avventore momenti indimenticabili di freschezza e tranquillità. Tra le specialità segnaliamo: salumeria nostrana della Mesolcina, formaggi dell’alpe, formaggini della valle, piatti tipici ticinesi preparati con antiche ricette tramandate da quattro generazioni. Non perdetevi il famoso roastbeef della Mila. Il tutto accompagnato da vini ticinesi accuratamente selezionati, liquori e grappe nostrane, gazzose e aranciate prodotte in valle, caffè artigianale.
Das im Jahr 1910 von Andrea Franzi eröffnete Grotto befindet sich im unteren Dorfteil von Lumino. Im Lauf der Jahre ging es von Vater zu Sohn über, heute wird das Grotto von Andreas Neffen Carlo Franzi geführt. Der Schatten der Bäume garantiert dem Gast unvergessliche Momente der Frische und Ruhe. Die Spezialitäten: Wurstwaren aus dem Misox, Alpkäse, Formaggini aus dem Tal, typische Tessiner Gerichte, zubereitet nach alten Familienrezepten über vier Generationen zurück, darunter das berühmte Roastbeef nach Art der Mila. Das Ganze wird begleitet von sorgfältig ausgewählten Tessiner Weinen, Schnäpsen und Grappa nostrana, Limonade aus dem Misox und selbst geröstetem Kaffee.

Il est actuellement dirigé par Charles Franzi (arrière-petit-fils du fondateur). A l’ombre des arbres centenaires vous attendent des moments inoubliables de fraîcheur et de tranquillité. Parmi les spécialités: charcuterie maison de la Mesolcina, fromages d’alpage, fromages de la vallée, plats typiquement tessinois préparés avec des recettes traditionnelles transmises depuis quatre générations. Ne manquez pas le fameux rôti de boeuf de Mila. Le tout accompagné de vins tessinois soigneusement sélectionnés, liqueurs et grappa locales, limonades et orangeades produites dans la vallée et café artisanal.
